Durastress Corporation was founded through the shared vision of Peter G. Nepomuceno, President of Angeles Electric Corporation, and Engr. Rafael A. Teotico, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Merex Philippines, Inc. Their goal was to establish a company specializing in the manufacturing of Pre-Stressed Octagonal Concrete Poles, setting new standards in durability and innovation. In the year 2013, Robert Gerard B. Nepomuceno was appointed as the President of Durastress Corporation, further strengthening the company’s leadership and commitment to excellence.

This vision led to a strategic joint venture, culminating in the incorporation of Durastress Corporation on January 15, 1997. Registered as a manufacturing corporation under SEC Registration No. A199700314, the company grew, achieving full production capacity within two years. By then, the plant was producing 2,000 to 2,500 poles per month, a milestone that demonstrated its potential to expand further.
